Niskayuna meeting livestreams are ending, at least for some town meetings. Town officials announced the change in late August without saying which meetings would go dark. Supervisor Erin Cassady-Dorion cited staffing shortages and said she did not want town employees “subjected to harsh criticism” because a livestream widens the audience. The Daily Gazette editorial board called the decision undemocratic and asked the town to reconsider.
