I live in NY and I am curious to know if I could use FOIA to request expense reports from trips taken by my NYS Assemblyman.
The NY State Legislature is subject to the Freedom of Information Law in a limited way. The document linked below lists what documents they will provide.
On page 4 it states expenditure reports and travel vouchers can be requested. The second link takes you to a form that you can use to file your FOIL request.
