Dismal NY Legislative Session Caps Season of Stagnation for Democracy, Transparency, Accountability, Subsidy Reforms.
That is Reinvent Albany’s read on the session that ended June 4. The transparency bills we and they have been pushing again did not move. By their count 759 bills passed both houses this year, down from 856 in 2025 and just over a thousand in 2022.
