$32 million for safer roads, nothing for transparency

transparency-funding-local-government

Governor Hochul announces $32 million available to local governments for safer roads.

While this is great news why has the Governor never announced any money to bring about more transparency at the local level?

How about assistance for processing FOIL requests, livestreaming of meetings, etc.

A small village pays for its own records software and its own camera and stream, or it does without. There is no state grant program for either.

What livestreaming actually costs a municipality is set out on our Live Streaming page.
