The surveillance tech discussions happen in the city’s Surveillance Technology Working Group, which meets without the public in the room. The Syracuse Peace Council, the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project and the city’s DSA chapter want that changed. What the group decides is what the city buys and points at residents, paid for with their money.
