An executive session vote to close a county nursing home has been put on hold by a court. Ulster County Judge Kevin Bryant issued a temporary injunction stopping Sullivan County from closing its Adult Care Center in Liberty, finding a likelihood that the county violated the Open Meetings Law when the March 26 closure vote was taken behind closed doors. The case landed in Ulster County after five Sullivan County judges recused themselves. Radio Catskill reports that the 146-bed facility was down to 12 residents from 93.
