On November 13, the New York Coalition for Open Government, together with our partners at The Buffalo History Museum, The League of Women Voters, and The Partnership for the Public Good, hosted a forum commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) in New York State.
Under the motto, “50 Years of the Freedom of Information Law – Where Are We Now?” we brought together lawmakers and members of the public to discuss the current state of FOIL and educate attendees on best practices for filing FOIL requests.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in championing open and transparent government in New York State.
